Hopefully this isn't the way they're all built....
Grinding, sliding, and crunching sounds were the first things I hear straight out of box. After inspection, the aluminum case is way too big for the magnet. And by magnet I mean the 3 smaller magnets separated with 2 pieces of wood that are stuck to the bottom side of a metal plate...The plate would generally offer protection for the magnets on each end (if centered on the plate) due to it being slightly longer than the length of all 3 magnets and wood that separate them, but instead someone thought it a good idea to align everything to one side leaving the other end with 2" or so of just plate sticking past the magnets end. Not using any softners or securing the magnets or plate inside the aluminum housing allowed it to slide around damaging itself. Very poorly designed and put together. Sorry, but I'd go a different route if I had known this was what I was going to receive for $158. All the damage could of been prevented with a number of different ways. But I used a few wooden wedges on each end to secure it inside it's aluminum housing, and a couple layers of rubber flex seal on everything incase the wedges do work loose somehow.
