Production Associate

REPORTS TO: Production Coach
DEPARTMENT: Shipping and Receiving

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Essential

  • Performs responsibilities in accordance with established safety guidelines and procedures
  • Accurately assembles magnetic products according to instructions
  • Accurately follows Warehouse Management guidelines to pull product
  • Accurately magnetizes products according to instructions
  • Accurately paints products according to instructions
  • Finishes magnetic products according to instructions
  • Accurately assembles and labels boxes for magnetic products
  • Meets hourly production goals and accurately complete time-study data
  • Maintains general housekeeping and organization in all areas of production on a daily basis utilizing 5S principles

Marginal

  • May assist steel preparation with certain processes
  • Other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT:

  • Bag machine, calculator, computer, label printer, magnetizer, rivnut drill, drill press, punch press , blister sealer, heat sealer, printing, cutting and doming equipment, and pallet jack
  • Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Previous production skills helpful
  • Good math skills
  • Safety conscious
  • Manual dexterity
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with team members
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques, stand up to 8 hours per day, twisting, turning, bending, pushing, pulling and gripping

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED
