Jennifer Brown Named Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce 2019 Business Person of the Year

Master Magnetics, Inc. is pleased to announce, Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Brown is named Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce 2019 Business Person of the Year.

Jennifer Brown - Business Person of the Year 2019,br>Brown received the award at the Chamber of Commerce 2019 Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony. The ceremony highlighted local business leaders, honoring winners in multiple categories, including Small Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and Castle Rock Advocate, among others. Fellow Business Person of the Year Nominees was John Saunders of Where Food Comes From and Joe Weber of Chick-fil-A.

In addition to her daily responsibilities at Master Magnetics, Brown is active within the Castle Rock business community. She serves on the CEO Roundtable of the Castle Rock Economic Development Committee, is a graduate of the Leadership Douglas County (LDC) class of 2011, and strives to partner with local businesses whenever possible.

“I am honored to be recognized by the business community of Castle Rock. It means a great deal to me. This achievement is only possible, however, by my team of dedicated managers and team members who keep Master Magnetics successful year after year,” Brown said.

Among other recent professional accomplishments, in 2018, Brown helped oversee the relocation of Master Magnetics from two sites with seven buildings in Castle Rock, Colo. and Elbert, Colo., into one, larger, 99,000 sq. ft. facility in Castle Rock. The transition brought 24 additional jobs to Castle Rock and set a foundation for new growth and expansion in the coming years. More importantly, the move allowed Master Magnetics to continue business in the town where it was founded in 1976, by Brown’s father, Jack Nellessen.

Brown began work at Master Magnetics, Inc. in 1989, as Marketing Manager and soon after earned her MBA in International Business. She continues her work with Master Magnetics, as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President since 2008.

Master Magnetics has grown as a local employer for Castle Rock and Douglas County with more than 90 team members. The company provides magnetic devices and materials in four major channels of business: Industrial magnetic devices, flexible magnetic sheeting, strip and point of purchase magnets, packaged magnets for resale, and raw magnetic material.
