I bought this in order to have my three most-used knives available but off the counter because surface space is a premium. Took me two tries to get it mounted but it is in place and still snug even after using it for three months. The knives adhere nicely, and I've not seen any damage to the blades from taking the knives of for putting them back on the magnets.

Works mounted directly on the wall, or attached to a pegboard. As long as your tools can be magnetized, you can't go wrong with this magnet.

I recommend planning your wall and tool layouts ahead of time, by doing some measurements, and working through tool layout in advance. By doing the prep ahead, you can focus in on different sizes available for your particular setup. Good news is; these will hold practically any weight you can fit on these magnets.
