Position Summary

Define the scope and requirements of development and responsible for configuring, customizing software, and programming changes to the software to those specifications. Develop scopes of work, automating actions, creating programmatic snippets of code, and working to create documentation of code as it is written. Support and troubleshoot software.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Essential

    • Administer application and provide technical expertise in software development
    • Create custom queries for reporting and advanced operational function rules for auto-response/actions in Odoo ERP (Linux based/stacked server/Python core platform)
    • Create programmatic snippets of code that are often up to 2,000 lines
    • Assist end-users and provide training and support
    • Provide post-implementation support and ongoing support measures

    Marginal

    • Provide back-up Salsify database administration duties as necessary
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    EQUIPMENT: Created programming will be utilized on the following equipment and their operating systems personal computers, remote desktop, mobile devices, server, switches, printers, computer peripherals, wireless Access Points, firewalls, UPS systems, tablets, and thin clients

     

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of Python, XML, and HTML is preferred; JavaScript is a plus; Odoo is a big plus
    • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux
    • Knowledge of business practices like Accounting, Inventory Management, or Manufacturing is a plus
    • Knowledge of constructing API software/connections
    • Experience writing database queries and data mapping

    • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent teamwork skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • High degree of professionalism and integrity

     

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Software or a related field and 2+ years software services or development experience or suitable combination of bot
