REPORTS TO: Creative Services Manager
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
Position Summary
Responsible for graphic design including digital and print materials necessary to support the company’s visual communications, as well as proofreading marketing materials. Additionally, this person will handle
some of the details of company’s trade show program. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, has a good grasp of
Adobe Creative Suite, an eye for detail and strong oral and written communication skills. No travel required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Essential
- Develop designs for various digital and print communications, including but not limited to video, packaging, flyers, posters, catalogs, tradeshow graphics and collateral, all within brand guidelines and creative direction
- Create videos for trade shows, sales presentations, web and YouTube, optimizing frame rate, audio tracks, and video size for each platform
- Perform prepress and prepare files for distribution and file transfers
- Review and proofread design work at each stage before submission (resizing, formatting, collecting, creating outlines, sharing via ftp, etc.) and proof other designs for marketing team as needed
- Shoot and process still and in-use product videos and photographs for digital and print media
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Shipping teams helping to plan, coordinate and accommodate all aspects of the company’s trade show calendar and shipping schedules.
- Pack/unpack and help maintain trade show exhibits, set up digital booths and support administration
- Other duties as assigned
EQUIPMENT:
- Computer, digital and video cameras, light booth, printer, photography equipment and tools/props
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Demonstrated skill designing visual concepts to communicate, inspire, inform, and captivate
- Knowledge of general marketing and advertising processes, layout, color theory, branding, and design principals, print and digital media, including print production and digital output, and video
- Demonstrated skill in digital photography, lighting, and color correction/color matching
- Demonstrated ability to listen, assimilate information, follow directions, and make decisions based on research and experience and effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Customer and team oriented, creative problem solver who handles difficult situations with diplomacy
- 4 years of experience/proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to, InDesign, Premier Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience with Adobe Bridge, Audition, Media Encoder, and Lightroom preferred
- Proficient in video production, package design, and digital and print media
- 4 years of experience/proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management skills, and proofreading skills for spelling, grammar
- Able to lift to 25 lbs.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications
- 4 years of experience in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications, or a suitable combination
$24.00 to $27.00 per hour
