Production Associate 1

REPORTS TO: Production Coach
DEPARTMENT: Shipping and Receiving

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Essential

  • Performs responsibilities in accordance with established safety guidelines and procedures
  • Accurately assembles and magnetizes magnetic products according to instructions using hand tools, power tools and adhesives
  • Locates, pulls and puts away lineside components and packaging in its assigned locations
  • Accurately paints and finishes products according to instructions
  • Properly packages, labels, and palletizes products and makes ready for shipping and/or Inventory
  • Must be able to meet hourly production goals and accurately maintain and turn in associated documentation and records
  • Maintains general housekeeping and organization in all areas of production on a daily basis utilizing 5S principles
  • Attends the daily production Lean Daily Management System meetings, engaging in and retaining the communicated content

Marginal

  • May assist steep preparation, sweeper assembly and warehouse with certain processes
  • May print product and box labels according to work order specifications
  • Other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT:

  • Bag machine, calculator, computer, label printer, magnetizer, drill motors and drill presses, sander, hand tools, heat shrink wrap machine, small flexible strip winder and cutter, punch press , blister sealer, auto bagger, rivet guns, staple machine, manual and electric pallet jacks and other basic equipment

 KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Previous production skills helpful

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with team members

  • Ability to lift 50lbs. using proper lifting techniques, stand up to 8 hours per day, twisting, turning, bending, pushing, pulling and gripping

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED

                                     Pay Range $15.00 - $17.00 DOE
