Product Manager

REPORTS TO: VP of Operations
DEPARTMENT: Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Program Manager will lead the development, implementation, certification, and maintenance of a new ISO 9001:2015-based Quality Management System (QMS). This position drives quality strategy, ensures regulatory and customer compliance, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across all operations. The role will be pivotal in transforming company-wide quality standards and aligning processes with best-in-class practices. Key Responsibilities: 

Quality Management System (QMS)
•Develop and execute a company-wide ISO 9001:2015 implementation and certification plan.
•Establish, document, and maintain QMS processes that ensure product and service quality meet defined standards.
•Maintain ongoing compliance and lead continuous improvement initiatives post-certification.

Quality Assurance & Control
• Oversee all quality assurance and control activities, including inspections, testing, audits, and CAPA programs.
• Implement data-driven quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Conduct internal audits and management reviews to ensure QMS effectiveness.

Supplier & Vendor Quality
• Develop and monitor vendor quality requirements, including supplier qualification and performance scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits and collaborate with vendors to improve performance and reduce defects.

Regulatory & Standards Compliance
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI, OSHA, GMP, and other relevant standards.
• Stay current on evolving regulations, maintaining readiness for customer and third-party audits.

Documentation & Process Management
• Establish and maintain robust documentation controls, including SOPs, process maps, and forms within an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Drive process standardization, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of quality documentation.

Leadership & Collaboration

Lead and mentor the QC, QA, RMA/Claims, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Partner cross-functionally to embed quality standards into product design, production, and customer support processes.
• Promote Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive quality management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated success leading ISO 9001:2015 implementation and certification efforts.
• Six Sigma certification required (Black Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QMS software (experience with Odoo or similar ERP preferred).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
