I wanted strong magnets and that's what I got. To remove them, I need to slide them to the edge of whatever piece of metal I put them on. They are that strong. If there's a frame in the way, one has to pry them off, but it can be done. I also like that these are big in diameter. Only one holds a calendar up very nicely.

Strong Magnet, but Silver Cover cannot be removed
I needed a magnet to use for a single knife holder. The magnets are strong, but I was disappointed that the silver cover is glued on, and can't be removed so that it can be used as a "cover." I would have preferred just to see the silver "cover" (stainless steel finish) be against the knife, rather than having the magnet visible. Not a complete deal-breaker, but I don't know why it's stuck on. If it's only on there because it's stuck to the magnet, there's no way to pry it apart- I tried.
